芦ノ湖(ASHINOKO)

芦ノ湖は箱根にあります。箱根は温泉で有名ですよね！箱根湯本駅(箱根の入口)から路線バスが芦ノ湖まで出てます。芦ノ湖は元箱根といい、箱根の中心地なんです。ここのスポットの魅力は箱根駅伝の終点地であること、富士山がみえること、江戸時代に関所となった場所でもあるかなぁーと思います。

Lake Ashi is in Hakone. Hakone is famous for its hot springs! From Hakone Yumoto Station (Hakone entrance), a fixed-route bus leaves to Lake Ashi. Lake Ashi is called Motohakone and is the center of Hakone. I think the attractions of this spot are that it is the end point of the Hakone Ekiden, that you can see Mt. Fuji, and that it was also a place that became a Sekisho during the Edo period.

A long time ago, a government office was set up on important roads and borders to check the entry and exit of travelers and luggage.

箱根駅伝とは？(What is Hakone Ekiden?)

It's a college marathon that runs over the New Year.

Lake Ashi is in Hakone. It is also the end point of the Hakone Ekiden, and you can see Mt. Fuji, which was a key point in the Edo period.
