9.白川郷(Shirakawagou)

城山天守閣展望台からの眺めです⭐️

20分おきにバスが出てます。5分ほど乗って、展望台へ行きます♪

It is a view from the Shiroyama castle tower observatory.

 Buses leave every 20 minutes. Ride for about 5 minutes and go to the observatory ♪

金沢駅からレンタカーを借りて、白川郷へ

約1時間で着きます！

せせらぎ公園駐車場に停め、「であい橋」を渡り白川郷の合掌集落へ行きました🐈‍⬛

Rent a car from Kanazawa Station and head to Shirakawa-go

 It will arrive in about an hour!

 We parked at the Seseragi Park parking lot, crossed the "Deai Bridge" and went to the Gassho village in Shirakawa-go 🐈‍⬛

白川郷は、江戸時代中期ごろから昭和初期の間に建てられた田園集落です。周囲は山に囲まれ、冬は一面の雪に覆われます。2月になると積雪が200センチ以上になることもあるそうです！そのため、茅葺き屋根は1メートルほどの厚さがあり、主にススキで造られているようです。茅葺き屋根は20〜30年に1回取り替えねばならないそうで、村を上げてみんなで行うようです。

Shirakawa-go is a rural village built between the middle of the Edo period and the early Showa period. Surrounded by mountains, it is covered with snow in winter. In February, the snowfall can reach 200 cm or more! Therefore, the thatched roof is about 1 meter thick and seems to be mainly made of Japanese pampas grass. It seems that the thatched roof must be changed once every 20 to 30 years, and it seems that everyone will do together.
